Consciousness is like a tapestry woven from countless threads of influence. It’s a beautiful mosaic, where each piece contributes to the overall picture, showing that our awareness is a collective creation, deeply intertwined with the world and people we encounter.
The extreme of spiritual unfoldment and liberation (Mukti) is the understanding that nothing belongs to us, not even our consciousness. This profound insight reveals that what we consider as our awareness is, in fact, a mere drop in the vast ocean of universal consciousness. Just as a single wave is part of the entire sea, individual consciousness is a small, interconnected aspect of a greater, infinite consciousness that permeates everything.
Think of it like a sunbeam. The light streaming through the window is not separate from the sun but is a direct extension of it. Similarly, our consciousness is a beam of the larger, divine light. This realisation can be humbling and liberating, as it means that our awareness is part of something far greater than ourselves.
Our consciousness, often perceived as a private garden of thoughts and emotions, is an open field connected to the limitless sky. The boundaries we place around it are like fences that keep us from experiencing the full expanse of our true nature. When we understand that our consciousness is not ours alone, these fences fall away, allowing us to merge with the broader landscape of universal consciousness, the realm of Oneity. Oneity is the Primal One.
Just as the roots of a tree are intertwined with the soil, drawing sustenance from the earth, our consciousness is intertwined with the collective consciousness, drawing wisdom and insight from the boundless source. This interconnectedness is a reminder that our thoughts, feelings, and experiences are not isolated but are part of the larger cloth of existence.
Realizing this truth transforms our perspective. It teaches us humility and creates a sense of oneness with all beings. We come to see that our journey is part of a grand, cosmic dance, where every step is interconnected, every breath is shared, and every heartbeat resonates with the rhythm of the universe.
In this realisation, we find peace, knowing that we are never truly alone but always part of the infinite, luminous whole where inspiration resides.
